My first day wasn't anything super other than what I expected, except for the "three hour lunch" my mentor took me on which was a nice surprise, it wasn't really three hours I just quoted a joke he made but you know I can dream. All seriousness though the day was pretty good, I got a lot of work thrown at me and it was a bit of a reality check but I got it all under control. It was a surprise to me the fact that they are giving me some important jobs to do on the first day such as handling things on their website but of course it only means that they trust me enough to do it, so I need to do it. My mentors and the people who work on the site are pretty awesome but very business oriented in the sense that you need to be working all the time and get stuff done which of course is a good environment for me I like it and plus they all have a sense of humor so they are all very nice (plus one of them took me to lunch so I cant complain) which I expected they were never rude when I talked to them before. Overall it is a good internship and the work is very computer based and even for my knowledge of computers is going to be a learning experience for me, I am already using google to do some of the work, but it is getting done so it should be fine. I'm pretty excited to get settled in today was the first day and as for any first day a little weird and unusual but I know as the days go on I will get more and more settled in where the days will become relaxed (at least I hope) which will be nice. That said I am not really nervous about anything I will do what they tell me to and that'll be that and if I can't do it I will talk to them. I'm looking forward to the coming weeks.
