The Mural project
The reason that there is no picture of the mural is because the person who was in charge of painting it failed. That person's name is Thomas.

The mural project. Is a project where us students had to go and interview a individual regarding social justice. The purpose was to find out a story from your interviewee about social just. Preferably something that happened to them (Racism, Sexism ETC). Then draw/paint a mural depicting the social discrimination/justice.

My interviewee was named Jose he is a Mexican who grew up in Mexico and the U.S.A Here is my transcript of the interview.
Interviewer: John McCormick
Interviewee: Jose
What's your Nationality?
My parents were Mexican, but I was born in riverside California.
Are you an American citizen?
Yes I am, but I often go to Mexico to hang out with friends as most of them live there.
Have you ever been discriminated against for being Mexican?
Yes, and recently
So I was going to my college adviser to check out different majors to study, it was me and my friend going. She called me in and asked my name I said “Jose” She said shes knew the prefect Major. She pulled out a study guide on Agricultural and botanical studies. I was quite surprised/shocked at first normally teachers don't make racist remarks (Although it wasn't the first time)
And what did you do after she did that?
I gave her the look, the Mexican look. She knew she messed up, bad.
Would you be as surprised if a student was discriminatory?
No, students make racist remarks and comments all the time. It also depends what they say/how loud they are.
What if you were in her position
If I can tell the boy doesn’t care about school ( Which I could tell ) I would be rude or racist. Although If the person truly cared ( Which I can tell as well ) I would be nice and care about the person's future.
