To me “the whole world is a play house” sounds kind of psycho or sinister. On the other hand I suppose it could have to do with something about where people put on plays or build theaters. Basically saying everyone deserves to see art and the different ways people express ideas.
Histories but not all histories I prefer to look into wars and other conflicts. A movie on something like The Battle of Midway I would watch, while one on the dark ages I might not be so keen on watching.
